How it all started.....
Having been inspired by neighbouring villages who have been successful in Britain in Bloom, a small group of volunteers in Langho have got together to help spruce up the village. They have begun work on some small patches of neglected gardens at Langho Pharmacy and The Sylhet Restaurant.
Veronica Hargreaves, volunteer co-ordinator, says : “ Our small team has made a real impact in a short time. Kate Murdoch, Langho Pharmacy Technician is a key member of our team and has worked really hard. We are hoping to recruit more volunteers, schools, church groups and local businesses who would like to get involved and help us achieve our ultimate goal of entering Langho into the RHS Villages in Bloom competition”.
